Yosemite Sam

Spending minutes, hours, days thinking, “Where did he go, what happened to him?” Then the days turn into weeks, months, years and you wonder, “Will he come home, is he still alive?” The numbness sets in. The fear turns to anger. The hope turns to reflective possibilities. Time passes and you are left in a warp of emotion. Nowhere to go with it. You try to share your feelings, but they are too overwhelming. So you provide only as much of yourself as you must, to get the information out there. Then you crawl back inside, feeling the depth of despair.

Your worst fear is when that phone rings. Your greatest hope is when that phone rings. The phone simply doesn’t ring. The wait continues. The agony persists.

Somewhere out there is your loved one. Somewhere out there he’s trying to find his way home. Someday you pray you’ll be reunited.

The dead no longer fear. The dead no longer hurt. The dead no longer resist. Yet, some of the dead still linger without identification. Today, my story is one without an end, without a resolution. I remain without identification.

I’ve been declared a white male, thirty-five to fifty years old, with long brown hair, who stood 5’7” in height and weighed approximately 180 pounds. I had several distinctive tattoos: On my right arm I had three: Yosemite Sam, a confederate flag with a skull and helmet and then an eagle entwined with the letter A. On my left arm I had three more tattoos: a bulldog, an eagle and then a red heart with two arrows and the words “I love you Kelsey always”.

I was found deceased on April 5, 2008, at Sandy River Reservoir in Prince Edward County, Virginia. I was wearing Levi jeans, a long-sleeved sweatshirt and a tee shirt with Mickey Mouse hang-gliding and it read “Hangn Out Over California”.

It seems like there is plenty of information to figure out who I am. I have even been matched to 132 possibilities to no avail. Law enforcement needs the public’s help. They need your help.

My tattoos should help. So far the right person hasn’t seen them yet. Maybe you can help them see it? Maybe you can send this information to all the people out there.

Maybe you can find Kelsey? Kelsey is someone I truly loved and must be missing me.

Who do you think Kelsey is? Could Kelsey be my ex-wife or girlfriend? Maybe Kelsey is my child. Is Kelsey in danger too? I did die under suspicious circumstances. Maybe Kelsey needs your help finding her/him. It’s time someone found Kelsey.

Someone out there knows Kelsey and knows my tattoos. Help me by finding that person. The time is ticking away. It’s time for my family to learn what happened to me. It’s their time for the phone to ring.

If anyone believes they may recognize the person in the composite,
they are asked to call:
