Congratulations on such a well written, much needed, informative site. The powerful words you use, written from the victim's point of view, really captures the readers attention & sticks with them long after they've turned off their computers. The numbers of unidentified men, women and children are absolutely staggering. I can see now why the problem of missing persons in the USA is considered to be our country's Silent Mass Disaster. Thank you again for giving these victim's a voice so that other's can assist in the effort to one day give them back their names. I will be sure to tell all my friends about this site, as well as advertise it on my FB page on a regular basis. Keep up the great work!

Hello,
I love this user-friendly, information-loaded site and these beautifully written narratives of the cases I have read about so far, as I discovered this site in a general search just days ago. Truly this ia a silent epidemic that the media is not going to tell us about in their pursuit for ratings. This site gives us a chance to be part of the solution to this; now that I've discovered this site my plans are to repost a few cases a day on both my accounts. I commend you for your dedication to keeping these unidentified persons in front of all. I can't promise that I'll be posting dozens of these people for I have other causes and other voicesss people and important causes.
God's blessings on this work you do and it's my daily prayer that many more in the faith community will become aware of the unidentified missing. Keep up the good work, for you're doing the public a wonderful service.

It's a shame that all these human remains have been unclaimed. They have a right to be properly buried by family or someone who missed them. You are doing a wonderful service here by bringing attention to these deceased, and giving them back some dignity!!

I am extremely grateful for whoever wrote this. My DNA is currently being tested against this Jane Doe to see if she is my mother. She has been missing for over a decade. Over the years on SEVERAL occasions I tried to report this to no avail. Police would say she probably doesn't want to be found, she is an adult and has that right. After time passed I knew something was wrong finally in December 2010 I was able to submit a report. I was promptly called in to submit my DNA in regards to the case. Perhaps this could have been solve years ago had someone listened to me. Even if this woman is not my mother she is someones loved one. Maybe there is a lesson to be learned by this.

Suzanne Lowe Very nicely explained, Rebel, thank you. As a professional forensic artist, I grow weary of the media terming these drawings "composites," when they are facial reconstructions. Big difference. You're right, by default of what we have to work with, they are likely not going to be the thing that "breaks the case wide open," (sometimes they are), but rather, they at least help bring attention to the case. We are a visual society. We all naturally are drawn toward something with a picture, than something without.
Amy Kinney That's a pretty scary and sad thought. Thanks for all you do.
Marti Morgan so nice of you to post for Janes & Johns on labor day, shows people still care.
DeDe Keene BLESS YOU REB,YOU are VITAL to UNIDENTIFIED PERSONS WORK.
Carol Hamilton THESE ARE SO HARD TO READ, I FIND I CAN ONLY READ 3 OR 4 AT A TIME, PRAYING SOMEONE COMES FORWARD SO SOME OF THESE POOR SOULS CAN BE LAID TO REST WITH THEIR BIRTH NAMES AND NOT AS A DOE. XXX
Shar Richards Ur so commited ! Doing a fantastic job xx
