Pogonip Jane--I might have a brother!

A young girl went missing. A body was found. A young man went to the police and said that she might be his sister. They said that was not possible; her age is wrong. That was how it happened back in 1994.

Today, police are looking for this man. The man who said that the young unidentified girl found in Pogonip Park was his sister. She still might not be his sister, but they need to find him to make sure.

Over the past few years, the police have been trying all types of new avenues to find out who a young Jane Doe female is. She was found on January 29, 1994, in Pogonip Park, Santa Cruz County, California. She had been killed.

This young unidentified girl, simply called Pogonip Jane, was originally thought to be in her early 20’s. Now with new tests they believe she was 17 to 19 years old and possibly as young as 12. She stood about 5 feet tall and weighed about 110 pounds. She wore her brown hair short, her left ear was pierced twice, and her right ear pierced once.

They found her dead on January 29, 1994, in an area of the park where homeless people set up camps. Her nude body with blunt force trauma wounds was recovered from a shallow grave. It is believed she could have been killed anywhere from a couple months to several months prior to her discovery in January 1994.

Down the way, in the opposite direction of her remains, they found clothing. It is speculated these articles of clothing belonged to her: a beige floral-design cotton pullover sweater with ribbed neck, cuffs, and bottom, and medium-sized black Gap Sport sweatpants with pockets.

Most importantly this girl had a small heart-shaped tattoo in the web of her left hand between the thumb and forefinger.

Lots of great tips have come in. The cops investigating now have lots of new tests they can and have run. The tests have cleared up the age discrepancy. Now they even know that this young girl traveled between Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara several times in the months before she died. They learned that from the water she drank. Amazing, right?

That girl wasn’t a TV show. That girl dubbed Pogonip Jane was me. I’m dead and I need help finding my family and my identity. Can you help? Someone out there knows a young girl who traveled between Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara several times during 1993! Help the cops find that person who knows me.
