I have family looking for me. I need to find them!

You can call me Pete, for now. I was killed by a gunshot in 1972. I was found in a gully at 2935 Athel Drive in Hacienda Heights, CA. It was November 5th, I believe it was a Sunday. I remember that because, oh darn it, I don’t remember. I guess the gunshot messed my memory up. Look it was a Sunday, and I was killed. I’d sure like to know why, wouldn’t you? More pressing is to find my actual family and finally tell them what happened to me. I believe they are looking for me. It’s been a long time, but they haven’t given up hope that someday they will find me. Let’s help them. Here’s where you come in. See if any of this information below jogs your memory, or send it to someone whose memory might be jogged. I need your help to find my identity. So here we go:

I was a white male, 6’3, and 195lbs. The coroner states that I had blonde hair, yet all the missing people organizations say it was shoulder length brown hair. No one seems to dispute that I had blue eyes. The corner said I have a scar on my butt. The missing organizations elaborate and state it was 4 & ½ inch scar above my tailbone, and also one on my right knee.

I was wearing a pink shirt, along with the best Lennon like jean jacket with a zipper down front you’ve ever seen. It was FAR OUT you know what I mean man? Blue Levi’s with a flared leg. NCMEC says the jeans had “PEACE” embroidered on the bottom left leg and “LOVE” embroidered on the bottom right leg.” I had blue flowered boxer shorts. To top off the look I was wearing my brown leather boots. Wait there’s more. Remember it was the 70’s man, peace & love not war. I was wearing my white metal band ring, a yellow peace sign earring in my right ear and black rosary beads. I had the looks!

It doesn’t matter if I was hippie, buying or selling drugs, an undercover cop, involved in a love triangle, simply on my way to a party or if I had just returned to the country after fleeing from service; there was no need to kill me!

It’s your turn now. You can help solve my mystery? Help me find my identity and reunite me with my family. Please do all you can, I’m counting on you!

Arkansas Rose: I need a real name! Do you know me?

My life ended on January 24, 2000. I was very young they estimate that I was only in my early 20's. I was found engulfed in flames in the parking lot of the College Avenue Baptist Church at 6100 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, CA. I had my whole life ahead of me. What happened?

Some very cruel and inhuman person or person felt I needed to die. I'm wrought with grief in the gruesome manner of which my life was taken. My autopsy read "The woman had been stabbed and strangled to death. In addition, both of her hands and a portion of her left calf were missing, presumably cut off by the suspect to prevent authorities from identifying her." Who would have done this to me?

While I would love to bring the criminal(s) to justice, first I need to know who I am. Can you help identify me?

I was white.
I was in my 20's.
I was about 5'9 to 5'10.
I was 190 to 200 lbs.
I had light brown hair.

The doenetwork reported that I might have been from Arkansas originally.

Were you in San Diego in 2000? Did you go to church with me? Did you go to school with me? Was I your neighbor? Did I dance in a club you attended? Did I work at the local coffee house?

Are you missing a loved one in Arkansas that might fit my description?

Please someone, anyone, help me find my identity. If you know me call the police and tell them. If you know what happened call the police and tell them. If you heard a story that fits this one, call the police and tell them. I'll be eternally grateful. My family deserves to know what happened to me. If you can help please please do!

I just wanted a cigarette!

They think I was a transient, because I didn't have any ID or even a house key on me. It's possible the person who strangled me took those items with them. Right?

I mean, I just wanted to smoke ok. This guy came up on me. I'm not saying if I knew him or not. I'm just like outside Vern's Dinner, you know the one over on Mission Street here in Daly City. So I'm just like outside having a cigarette minding my own business ok. You can even ask those people at Vern's. I was there. I bought my Winston's there. Ok. So I'm standing outside having my cig and he came up on me and started in you know. Some people had to see him. I know there were people around having garage sales and coming and going from Vern's, so someone had to see him right. So why don't you go find him and ask what happened to me!

What you want more information. Ok fine. Let's say you can call me Lanie for right now. I'm like in my late 20's, 5'3, with brown hair and brown eyes.

I don't know why they think I'm a transient. Ok so I had three pairs of socks on. Maybe, my feet were cold or something, I can't recall. Come on though my shoes those were expensive. So how did I get the money to buy the shoes and cig's if I'm like a transient. Plus, I had a bottle of medication with me with a partial label from the Longs Drug Store. Those could have been my pills right? I'm just sayin.

Look I just want my family to know what happened ok. They pulled my body out of the ground to do some DNA thing. If my family ever see's my pic and come and check with them cops then maybe they can match me. That would be good thing. I'm tired of this hanging around. I want to find my family. You know .. so help me find my family ok. Look all you have to do is send this blog to everyone you know. Come on help me out. K.

Laura Smiles - CA Sacramento Unidentified Female, June 2001

I need your help! I need to know my name!

Until you can tell them who I am, you can call me Laura Smiles. I guess it seems appropriate as the artist shows my facial reconstruction with a big smile.

However, I'm sure I was far from happy in 2001. My remains were found on June 29, 2001, in Sacramento, California.

So here is what they can tell you about me:

Sex: Female
Race: Possibly White
Approximate Age: Late teens or early 20's
Height: 5'-5'5"
Weight: Unknown (thin to average)
Hair: Unknown
Eyes: Unknown
Outstanding Features: Has had a broken nose in the past

That's it. The biggest clue was that I had a broken nose in the past. Ok if that's all you have to go on .. use it. What doctors could have treated my broken nose? What school may have records of student being absent for a broken nose, fitting my basic description?

Also an important fact is that the photo displayed here are my actual teeth!

If you are dentist and have treated me in the past this might be helpful: "Teeth are very well cared for; no dental cavities; teeth have plastic sealants; missing all first bicuspids (#5, #12, #21, and #28); possible prior orthodontics or preparation for orthodontics; all four wisdom teeth are present; lower wisdom teeth are not fully erupted."

Do you remember a neighbor that might look anything like the rendering above? Do you know me? Can anyone call the police and tell them who I am, or who they think I might be?

I would rest more peacefully if you could simply help!!

You can call us: Lillie May Rush and Joseph White! We are Unidentified Teens -found in Mendocino County, CA

Do you recognize us?

The authorities speculate that we traveled from another State, maybe the Midwest. We arrived in California only to meet our maker.

We are searching for identity. To help you help us look at the following descriptive data:

MALE TEEN:
About 13 years old, approximate height 5'5" , light brown hair with excellent teeth, no decay, no cavities, no fillings. All adult teeth except the wisdom teeth which were still impacted.

FEMALE TEEN:
It is believed that I was not over 14 years of age, approximate height 5'5-1/2," light brown hair and excellent teeth. All adult teeth except the wisdom teeth which were still impacted. It is also noted that there was no clothing, but I was wearing the pictured hoop with a perched-bird earring for pierced ears.

After DNA testing it has been ruled out that we are maternally related.

On July 8, 1979 our skeletal remains were found near milepost marker 21, highway 20, west of Willits, in Mendocino County, CA. They guess that we died on or about December 8, 1978.

How did we die? After travelling for so long and then death in California? Did we meet someone who drove us? Did we meet someone who killed us?

How did we get to Mendocino, when the authorities are guessing we are from the mid west? It is estimated we were both under 15 years of age. We couldn't drive to Mendocino. Did we hitchhike? If yes, from where?

We were obviously running away from something or someone. But who? Where are our parents? How come they are looking for us? Did our parents do something wrong to us?

How did we die? After travelling for so long and then death in California? Did we meet someone who drove us? Did we meet someone who killed us?

We should have parents, siblings, family members, teachers, doctors, counselors, someone from our past looking for us....

Where are you ?? We need your help !!!

Mrs. Springs - Unidentified Desert Hot Springs, CA February 1997

I'm not very happy. On February 10, 1997, I was found dead in the hills behind the Desert Crossing Shopping Center, in Desert Hot Springs, CA. It appears I had contusions to my legs and head.

Here is my 411: When I was found I was approximately 40 to 55 years old. I was 5'6, about 145 lbs, with hazel eyes, and no identifying scars or tattoos. My hair was shoulder length brown and gray mixed in. I had expensive dental work with crowns and root canal work.

The day they found me I was wearing a light colored striped shirt, blue denim pants, and a tan/ yellowish windbreaker jacket. There is no mention of what shirt I was wearing, or if there wasn't a shirt on at all. Perhaps, the shirt was torn or tattered so they didn't mention it. However, I had very identifiable bi focal, large frame, prescription glasses.

The reason I'm not happy (other than being dead) is that I was wearing a wedding ring and yet here it is in 2007 and I'm still unidentified. We have all heard about unhappy marriages; but to never claim me, stand up and say my wife is missing, seems extremely unreasonable no matter how bad we fought. That is of course, unless it was my spouse that is responsible for my death. The problem with that theory is what about my parents, family, co-workers, neighbors, or friends, somebody would have to notice I was missing.

Here is the most suspicious thing about my death; when I was found I had my medicine and money, but all my id and identifying information was purposely removed. The officials claim that extensive searches were made but to no avail.

My picture seems like a pretty solid description. I hope simply looking at me you will have an AH HA moment and say I know that GAL. Please call the Riverside County Sheriff's Department at the information listed below and tell them how I am, or who you think I might be. Please!

1975 Riverside Unidentified Woman - Rubidoux Rose

Nobody knows my name. So until you can tell someone who I am, you can call me Rubidoux Rose.

On October 25, 1975, my lifeless body was discovered in the shallow waters of a drainage canal south of Newton Street in the Rubidoux area of Riverside, California.

I didn't have any identification on me. I was, however, wearing a silver color fork bracelet with one inch prongs and a brown stone. I also wore a ring with a two rose design and clear stone.

The police estimate that I was about 19 to 25 years of age. I was 5'8" and 135 pounds. I'm a black woman, described as having a short Afro hairstyle, 6" to 8" long.

While it's nice to have a temporary name of Rubidoux Rose, coined by this blogger -- I want more than anything else to be identified for who I truly am. If you know me, please please please contact the Riverside County Sheriffs Coroners office. You may reference my NCIC number NCIC: 14TT070607 06X O16PM12. The Coroners number is (951) 443-2300.

I have hope that my family and friends are missing me. Maybe they think I left home, or maybe they moved and didn't know of my death. I just want to rest in peace with my true identify on my plot. Please let me rest in peace call and tell them who I am.

Thanks Rubidoux Rose
