I just wanted a cigarette!

They think I was a transient, because I didn't have any ID or even a house key on me. It's possible the person who strangled me took those items with them. Right?

I mean, I just wanted to smoke ok. This guy came up on me. I'm not saying if I knew him or not. I'm just like outside Vern's Dinner, you know the one over on Mission Street here in Daly City. So I'm just like outside having a cigarette minding my own business ok. You can even ask those people at Vern's. I was there. I bought my Winston's there. Ok. So I'm standing outside having my cig and he came up on me and started in you know. Some people had to see him. I know there were people around having garage sales and coming and going from Vern's, so someone had to see him right. So why don't you go find him and ask what happened to me!

What you want more information. Ok fine. Let's say you can call me Lanie for right now. I'm like in my late 20's, 5'3, with brown hair and brown eyes.

I don't know why they think I'm a transient. Ok so I had three pairs of socks on. Maybe, my feet were cold or something, I can't recall. Come on though my shoes those were expensive. So how did I get the money to buy the shoes and cig's if I'm like a transient. Plus, I had a bottle of medication with me with a partial label from the Longs Drug Store. Those could have been my pills right? I'm just sayin.

Look I just want my family to know what happened ok. They pulled my body out of the ground to do some DNA thing. If my family ever see's my pic and come and check with them cops then maybe they can match me. That would be good thing. I'm tired of this hanging around. I want to find my family. You know .. so help me find my family ok. Look all you have to do is send this blog to everyone you know. Come on help me out. K.

I was thinking for a long time about why this woman could have been wearing three pair of socks. I think, possibly, especially since you said that her shoes were expensive; I think she is wearing three pairs of socks because her shoes were too big and she wanted to make them fit more comfortable. Maybe she bought them (or obtained them somewhere) without trying them on or the right size wasn't available when she got them.

Hi Monavladko,

Interesting perspective. I guess that's very possible. Teenagers do crazy things.

Thanks for commenting. And thank you for caring enough about this girl to read and really ponder her situation.

We need more people like you.

I was wondering if they checked at the Longs Drug Store?

I am wondering is they could trace the prescription pills to any women who were taking them at that time. Something tells me that even if they were not hers, that maybe they belong to a relative or even a neighbor and she might have taken them without permission. I just cannot believe that someone hasn't come looking for her, or any of these people, especially children. Also, she had to have some money to buy the cigarettes, so where was her change? Did they check her pockets, do they have any DNA from the violence??
