Princess Doe--This Story Is No Fairy Tale

Headlines could have read “Teen Beaten to Death at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.” The reason they could have read that is because that’s what happened.

On July 15, 1982, a 14- to 18-year old homicide victim was found on cemetery grounds off State Hwy. 94 in Warren County, New Jersey. Authorities believe she may have been deceased for up to one week prior to discovery. The girl was white, had shoulder-length brown hair, weighed about 110 lbs. and stood 5'2".

That headline, that girl, she was me. I was killed by a pimp, who claimed I was part of his stable. He claimed he beat me to death.
I’m popular you know? I have had books, TV shows, and movies done about me. And in 1983, I was the very first unidentified victim to be entered into the FBI’s national database. The FBI wanted to help figure out who I was. Like many others who have been entered into that database since 1983, I remain unidentified.

Lots of interesting tidbits about me are out there. Let’s see, stories surfaced that I was a maid in Ocean City, MD, from 1979 to 1982, a runaway from FL, the daughter of a dentist, and I was killed by a serial killer (actually a couple serial killer names were tossed around).

One of the tidbits out there was a theory that I might have been Diana Dye, a missing girl from California. A flyer comparing me to her was made and circulated nationally. My remains were exhumed and a DNA test was conducted. All they could extract was mitochondrial DNA (MtDNA). This form of DNA can only be compared to maternal relatives. Once they had this form of DNA, they compared it to Diana’s mother. Turns out, I’m not her daughter. She’ll keep looking for her daughter like they’ll keep looking for my identity.
Another one of those tidbits was more like a prediction by some psychic detective. The psychic said I was killed by someone already in jail. Turns out, the psychic was right. My pimp, the killer, confessed years after that prediction was made and he was serving time for another crime. In talking with him and a witness to my killing, the cops learned I was most likely from the Long Island area.

The cops have come a long way in trying to figure out who I am, but there is still more road ahead. I hold faith that the road will lead them to my identity and my family.

If you know anything about this girl please contact:

Ave Maria! Listen to a maiden’s prayer!

Ave Maria! Ave Maria! maiden mild!
Listen to a maiden's prayer!
Thou canst hear though from the wild,
Thou canst save amid despair.
Safe may we sleep beneath thy care,
Though banish'd, outcast and reviled -
Maiden! hear a maiden's prayer;
Mother, hear a suppliant child!
Ave Maria!

Ave Maria! undefiled!
The flinty couch we now must share
Shall seem this down of eider piled,
If thy protection hover there.
The murky cavern's heavy air
Shall breathe of balm if thou hast smiled;
Then, Maiden! hear a maiden's prayer;
Mother, list a suppliant child!
Ave Maria!

Ave Maria! stainless styled!
Foul demons of the earth and air,
From this their wonted haunt exiled,
Shall flee before thy presence fair.
We bow us to our lot of care,
Beneath thy guidance reconciled;
Hear for a maid a maiden's prayer,
And for a father hear a child!
Ave Maria!
Ave Maria

"The Lady of the Lake" by Sir Walter Scott

I was left just steps away from a cemetery. I was laid to rest by hands unknown. My life was taken from this earth by a cruel fate.

My hands bound behind my back. My body wrapped in a sheet. My face wrapped in cloth. My life snuffed out by a cruel fate.

Years have passed and this crime has gone unpunished. Years have passed and my identity remains unknown. Years have passed since my life was taken by a cruel fate.

Today I wait for the answers to come. Today I wait for the chance for my family to learn what happened. Today I wait for the chance to be laid to rest in peace with my identity known. 'Tis a cruel fate to make me wait. Yet here I wait. I wait for that day to come to pass.

Rainbow Falls

So they are learning who I’m not. What they don’t know is who I am. Who am I? That’s the question of the decade. Until then you can call me Vicky, Vicky Doe.

I’m a white female sixteen to nineteen years old who weighed about one hundred and forty pounds. There is speculation that I might have been as young as twelve, but I think the primary focus is sixteen to nineteen year old missing teen girls. So what do you know for certain? Well, I was white! And I think everyone believes I was under twenty years of age. Aren’t you lucky you have hit the information jackpot! Sorry, a little sarcasm.

This might help some. I was wearing a Harley Davidson t shirt. Also I had some interesting jewelry: a yellow pinky ring, a yellow necklace with a black crystal pendant, a clear stone stud earring and another necklace but this one is different, unique. This next necklace is described as wizard hands holding a round tiger-eye stone pendant. If you really think about this jewelry you might think about where I might have bought it. Maybe it was from a traveling convention of some type. Maybe it was from Planet Harley. I wonder how much this jewelry cost? Or maybe this jewelry came from a metaphysical store. There are so many things to consider from my jewelry alone that might lead you to figure out who I am.

Jewelry’s not your thing? Well how about the fact some cop pulled me over with my friends and gave us a warning. Poor guy probably wishes he took our names and gave tickets. But nope, he just gave us a warning. Oh but he did take a photo of me. So they have that photo to use as a comparison when you figure out who I am. Well we told him that we were from Louisiana. Do you really think we told him the truth? Based on this cop's information it’s speculated that I might have run away from Louisiana.

If I did run away from Louisiana with my friends how did we get to Colorado? You know it was not long after that cop stopped us when I died. And it was only two or three days after I died that they found me in a makeshift campsite in Pike San Isabel National Forest. So how did I end up in Douglas County, Colorado dead on June 15, 1993? And if I had been traveling with friends where were they? Where did those so called friends go?

Of course you know everything written here is speculation. The only thing you know for certain is that I was found on June 15, 1993 in Douglas County, I was white and wearing a Harley Davidson T shirt with unique jewelry. This is all you know for certain. Then again there is that picture of me. The one the police have. Once you think you know who I am that photo will identify me along with my DNA and dental records.
Chances are I wasn’t missing long at all. Then again I could have been missing my entire life, kidnapped as a child. Or maybe my parents were bikers and I traveled with them. Maybe my parents died and after I traveled with their friends. I don’t know that friends would really just leave me behind like that, or would they?

It shouldn’t be hard to figure out who I am. There are some very specific details that should lead you to my identity. Plus they have that photo of me. So what are you waiting for tell them who I am. I’m ready for my identity to be released!

Anne Arundel Doe

8675309 is a number you are probably very familiar with. The number belongs to Jenny and we all know that Tommy Tutone got it. He got her number 8675309, he got it.

My number is 0505076! That’s my number and John Gajda has it. It’s my number and he has it. He shares it with his partner Scott Seegers. They got it. They got my number. It’s my number and they got it!

The problem is that my number is not a phone number. My number was not made famous in a song that was played on the radio and remembered in the minds of masses for decades. No my number tells a completely different story. My number is the number assigned to me, my remains and my case. Sort of blows that happy feeling you were experiencing when you started remembering Jenny’s number doesn’t it?

Well Jenny only had to change her phone number to continue to exist. I wasn’t as fortunate. I had to die to get my number. The other thing is that almost all of America knows 8675309 belongs to a girl named Jenny. Unfortunately, 0505076 can’t be connected with a name. You can call me Jane Doe. You can call me Anne Arundel Doe. But you can’t call me by name because you don’t know it! I’m an Unidentified American.

In order to put a name to that number the local law enforcement needs the public's help. Can you help? You are the public right? Can you help spread my number like Jenny’s number? Maybe the right person will see my information and know my name. Just maybe!

Here is some information to go with my number: I was found on July 27, 2005 in Brooklyn, Maryland. I had been deceased a month or so prior to my discovery. I was a White Female, 19 to 23 years old, stood about 5’5 and weighed about 115 lbs. My hair was red, brown and curly. I had previous nose and left cheek fracture. I liked name brand products. I was wearing Paris Blues dark blue jeans, red tank top with Nike on front, white Nike sock and K Swiss white tennis shoes.

So the cops have my DNA, my fingerprints, and my dental records. What they don’t have is anything to compare them too. Well at least not successfully thus far. They need to find my family! They need to find my identity. They need the public to view this information and my forensic sketch. Then maybe, just maybe someone will recognize me and call Detective John Gajda or Detective Scott Seegers and tell them the name that goes with 0505076!

If you have any information please call:

GINNY DOE - It’s Not Fair!

People are not supposed to die unless they are very, very old or very, very sick. So what am I doing with my picture on this blog, dead without anyone knowing who I am? It’s not fair! They think I was somewhere between 10 and 14 years old. Stuff like this isn’t supposed to happen! I should be looking forward to my first date, dreaming about prom or maybe still playing with Barbies. So what happened to me?

On April 3, 1985, someone found my remains (yuck - I hate that word) just off of Big Wheel Gap Road, four miles southwest of Jellico in Campbell County, Tennessee. The investigators think I was killed one or two years earlier on the edge of the strip mine and then tossed down the slope. So unfair!

They found a pair of size 5 hiking boots near my remains but they are unsure if they belonged to me. I had a bracelet and a necklace that were made of plastic buttons. Those investigating say I may have been from the Appalachian area, possibly Kentucky or Tennessee. So there you have it other than this information, an approximate age and the fact that I was a young white female, they know nothing about me.

They’ve compared my DNA and dental records to quite a few young girls who could possibly fit my description but so far there has been no match.

A forensic artist was kind enough to create a reconstruction of my face. Please take a close look at it and send it to your friends. Someone must know who I am! Somewhere, someone must be missing me!

Genevieve Doe - Keepin’ It Real

If we had met somewhere along the way, I bet we might have been friends. Maybe we’d have gone out for a burger or a pizza and talked for hours - you, know, just keeping’ it real. Instead, I have to keep it real by telling you that we’ll never have the chance to do that anymore. I won’t get to grow old, spend any more time with my family and friends, or even go out for a pizza…because my life ended way too soon - and right now, no one seems to know who I am. This blogger is calling me Genevieve, but maybe you can be the one to give me back my real name; everybody deserves to have their own name, right?

So…what happened to me? On October 18, 2007, they found my remains along the side of the road in Bayonne, New Jersey, at what they call the ‘jug handle’ of Hook Road and Route 440. They aren’t sure how I died, but estimate it was only weeks prior to discovery. They do know I was a black female, between the ages of 16 and 20. I was between 5’2” and 5’5” tall and weighed somewhere around 118 to 138 pounds. I had my very own special sense of style! I was wearing a pink Pascal Tex brand tank top (size Medium), Vigoss brand camouflage pants (size 11/12), a black Puff brand bra with red lace around the cups (36C), pink Pascal brand boys short underwear, a silver body chain around my waist, a clear brown plastic ring on my right thumb and white ankle socks with orange toes and little green bears around the top. My hair was black with 28-inch long brown braided extensions.

Does any of this sound familiar? Were we friends? Does my face look like someone you used to know…or even someone you loved? Maybe we were neighbors or classmates; maybe we even went out for pizza! Are you the one who can finally help investigators give me back my name?

Brad Doe - 1983

The 1970’s were more my time. The music was rip roaring. There were all types of genres. Bet you can’t guess what type I listened to? Nah I’m not got going to tell you that would be cheating. What type of music did you listen to? The clothes were wild. Where ever I looked there was always something bright, long, shiny and hip. Even the stuff you would never catch me in, was pretty interesting to watch pass by on someone else. The people, well the people were from all walks off life, left over hippies with peace and love running in their veins, to rock n roll superstars and fans who acted like they were the superstars. Don’t forget about the disco mentality. Heck, I think everybody shined in the 70s. A time of discovery.

Sure, I discovered myself. Then came the 80’s. Things go different in the 80’s. Clothes, music, people, even the drugs changed. My life got more complicated. It’s hard to explain really. So I won’t. Not here and now.

The worse part of the 80’s for me was that it ended way too soon. I made some bad choices in the 80’s. And some things, well they went wrong. I ended up, I ended up a prisoner of psychopath serial killer named Larry Eyler.

Needless, to say I’m not able to sit face to face with you today to share my story. No instead, some person I’ve never met is putting words in my mouth hoping beyond hoping that maybe just maybe some of those words will get your attention.

If you haven’t figured it out. I’m dead. I most likely didn’t live to see my 23 birthday. See it turns out they guesstimate that I was 17 to 22 years old. I was a white male. I stood anywhere from 5’5 to 5’10, with an average build. I had medium length reddish hair. I also sported some homemade tattoos on my right forearm. When they found me I was wearing ankle high leather hiking boots size 10 ½ and button pocket brown slacks 30” waist and inseam.

Here’s the thing. Not only can I not sit down with you face to face because this creepoid killed me, but he didn’t remember my name. So when he gave up info on others that he also killed he couldn’t tell them anything about me. So I need your help. See my family they are probably wondering what happened to me. It’s been twenty-seven years since I died; possibly, longer since they saw me last. So I need you to help the authorities figure out who I am. Can you do that for me? I’d appreciate it.

ANNA DOE - Can I Come Home Now?

My mom kicked me out of the house...or at least that was what one of the last people to see me alive says I told him. But I s'pose I should stick to the stuff they know first, huh? Okay.

On April 27, 2002, my body was found behind a strip mall (not far from the campus of Arizona State University) in Tempe, Arizona. The coroner said that I was between 15 and 19 years old, of either Hispanic or Native American descent, stood about 5' 1” tall, weighed 125 pounds and had dark hair (12.5 inches long) and brown eyes. I had an 'L' shaped scar on the back of my left hand and another scar on my shoulder. I was wearing a red tube top-type halter, blue jeans with a side zipper and eyelets along the waistband, blue underwear, white crew socks and black shoes (size 6.5 with 3” wedge heels). There was a purple hair elastic around my wrist and faded purple nail polish on my nails. The cause of death was found to be acute cocaine intoxication.

So...who was I? One clue that was found was a CD case that was lying near my body. A fingerprint on the case led them to a woman who told investigators that her boyfriend has possession of that CD case – and that he'd been in Tempe the previous night...which they believe was the night I died. When the boyfriend was questioned, he stated that he had seen me by the side of the road and gave me a ride. He told the investigators that we spoke to each other only in Spanish and that I told him I'd just been kicked out of my house.

After riding around a bit this other guy got in the car. He was a drug dealer. He gave me some drugs. There is a rumor floating around that the two guys, the one who picked me up and the drug dealer didn’t “indulge.” Almost immediately (or so they claimed), I went into convulsions. Instead of taking me to a hospital or calling for help, these guys pulled over behind the golf store at the strip mall...and dumped me out of the car. Nice guys, huh? Then the driver (you know the woman’s boyfriend) he dropped the dealer and told him to call 911!

So there you have it – the only 'story' the police have to work with. Did my mother really kick me out of the house? In any case, after 8 years, I would say that it's high time I got to finally go back home!

Adam Doe – Can You Help Get Me Home?

In late July of 1983, I was hitchhiking near the intersection of US 41 and 63 near the city of Terra Haute, Indiana. I was offered a ride by this guy named Larry. Larry offered me alcohol and drugs and we went to this old barn on an abandoned farm in Lake Village, just east off Highway 41. It’s a ride I wish I hadn’t taken.

See the guy Larry that picked me up, well his name was Larry Eyler and he would later be dubbed the Highway Killer. You guessed it I ended up in a car with a serial killer. When we got to Lake Village turns out he had set up a “killing room.” He proceeded to tie me up, stab me to death and then bury me in a shallow grave.

There were three other guys he had killed and buried out there at that abandoned farm. All of the other three were buried together. Not me, I was segregated and buried alone.

The above facts that I’m sharing with you are based solely on the accounts given by the serial killer himself. I’m telling you this so you know that I may not have willingly got in his car, or the location he picked me up at may be different than what is stated. The hard cold reality is that I took a ride with a serial killer and now no one knows my name. So I’m here on Can You Identify Me? for you to help figure out who I am.

To figure out who I am I should share some personal information with you. You probably already guessed I was a black male. It’s been said I was about 15 to 20 years old. I was probably about 5’10 to 6’0 tall and weighed about 140 to 160 lbs, with a light to average build. I had short cropped black hair.

The good news is that my clothes might help identity me. Sure I wore Levi blue jeans, but I also had this red and white belt with the word “Devil” on it, the belt buckle was gold with the word “Jeans.” I also sported Hush Puppy style boots with a side buckle. Hopefully my articles of clothing when told to the right person will help identify me.

Now the job is finding the right person. I understand that you readers are going to take this narrative and spread it like wild fire. Sounds good to me! Maybe, if you tell enough people about me, where I was hanging out in 1983, the clothing I was wearing and who I got in the car with – maybe just maybe you can find my name. I’m sure my family would like to know what happened to me. I know I’d sure like to rest in peace with my true identity.

Rex Doe Story – The best years of your life?

Aren’t the teen years supposed to be the best years of your life? Something went tragically wrong for me. My life was brought to a bitter end. If that’s not bad enough, they don’t know who I am. So I’ve been robbed of my life and my identity. Being a teenage boy and all, I can think of a few choice words to describe this situation.

On April 3, 2004 partial remains of mine were discovered on a horse trail near 12100 Tampa Ave in Northridge, California. I could have been there for up to a year prior to discovery. What happened you ask? I can’t tell you that. Actually, there is very little I can share with you. I can only share what has been discovered so far. That means it’s up to you! That’s right you! It’s up to you to find out the rest of my story.

What I can tell you is that they believe I was between fifteen and twenty three years of age. Most likely, I was under twenty. I was a white male and I stood about 5’4. The only other information that could be determined is dental. Let’s hope it helps: My third molar was un-erupted, and #4 and #7-13 were missing postmortem.

I was young enough that my family, my parents are probably looking for me. Maybe, they think I’m missing? Maybe I took off? I’m not sure what they think. It’s been six years though, so someone out there has to be wondering what happened to me. Can you help me find that person? With your help maybe they can identify me and solve at least one mystery. Who knows once they figure out who I am, maybe they can figure out what happened to me. Let’s go for my name first! Hey wait; do you know who I am?

Wanda Doe – Something Ain't Right!

I know all about the 'Code of Silence'. Nobody saw anything, nobody knows anything and – most of all – nobody says anything...but I need your help. (Please?) Will you be the person who can put the pieces together to give me back my identity? Do you have that all-important bit of information...and the courage to come forward?

On April 4, 1995, Atlanta police found me behind a crack house at 380 Atwood Street, buried in a shallow grave. I had been dead for several days and they aren't able to say how I died. Was I just passing by and witnessed something I shouldn't have seen, or was I possibly a customer? In any case, I surely didn't deserve such a grisly, anonymous ending!

What did I look like? Well, they say I could have been between 13 and 30 years old but was most likely a teenager. I was 5'7” or 5'8”, 140 pounds with brown eyes and dark brown, tightly curled hair that was cut very short (maximum length of 3 inches). My ears were pierced and I had a large gap between my two upper front teeth. I was an African American female. When they found me, I was wearing a size 16 light blue t-shirt with short sleeves, Bugle Boy jeans with a drawstring and elastic waist (color faded) with a 30-inch waist and 32 inches in length. My shoes were black, size 6 and a half, Adidas Dynaprene and my underwear (if it's anybody's business) was multi-colored with Tweety Bird on it. The label read “That's all, folks”. Kind of appropriate, I guess.

What really makes me mad is that someone (or several someones) knew enough about me to tell investigators that I may have used the name 'Wanda' – and that I often hung around the Ashby, Dill and Beecher Street areas. But that was all they knew. Was I a local? If so, why won't my friends step up and do the right thing: give me back my name? Something about that just ain't right!

Even if you can't tell them who I am or what happened to me, you can still help! Please pass my picture and my story along to everyone; you just never know who might hold that missing piece!

Investigators and the press have given me the nickname “Suitcase Doe”. Yuck. This blogger has chosen to call me Melinda Doe, and while I like that a lot better, what I'd really like – if I could have just one wish – is my very own name back. Do you know who I am?

On July 11, 1995, a maroon suitcase covered with a green garbage bag was found along Brandywine Creek on Valley Creek Road, south of Boot Road, in East Caln Township, Pennsylvania. Inside the suitcase, they found my body....minus my legs. (Thus, the nickname “Suitcase Doe”.) My body had been wrapped in a sheet which was then placed in a plastic quilt bag. That package was wrapped in a quilt and then stuffed in the suitcase, which was wrapped with wire, taped and placed in the garbage bag. The suitcase itself was maroon vinyl, with a leather grain pattern, little wheels on the bottom, three buckles and a zipper. The quilt was white with a light blue, black and green pattern on it – and both the suitcase and the quilt were apparently sold at K-Mart stores nationwide.

Six months later they finally found what they believe were my legs, wrapped in garbage bags, in the Cores Creek State Park in Middleton Township, Pennsylvania. Also found nearby was another bag that contained women's clothing – both formal and casual – and girls' clothing, as well.

Investigators were unable to match my fingerprints with any that were on record. They believe I was from out of state (or possibly even out of the country), killed somewhere else and then dumped where I was found. I died 3 to 7 days before my body was discovered. There was a small amount of alcohol in my system, equivalent to only one or two drinks and they found no evidence of drugs. They also do not believe I was raped or strangled. When found, I was wearing a denim skirt and a light blue denim shirt with copper-colored buttons, long sleeves and light colored 3 inch band across the chest and back. They say I could have been anywhere between 17 and 30 years old, between 4'11” and 5'4” tall and 120 to 140 pounds. I had brown hair, brown eyes and a light complexion (either Caucasian or Hispanic). My ears were pierced but I had no scars or tattoos.

So...who was I? I don't want to be “Suitcase Doe” anymore, or even Melinda Doe. My one last wish is to have my own name restored to me!

Teeth! Are you kidding me?

Not much to go on. Who would have thought one day it was all going to boil down to my teeth. Celebrities have really good teeth right? Celebrities are called stars! Since it all boils down to my teeth, how about you call me Star Doe! Some might want to call me Marion but that’s so old fashioned. I like Star better! At least for now…

My understanding of how this works is you get to hear the details from the end of my life. Why? Because you don’t know who I am, so all you have are those final details. So let’s get busy.

On March 10, 2007 my remains were found on Victory Road in Northeast Marion County, Ohio. They don’t know for sure how long I had been on this Victory Road, but they guess it was anywhere from 2002 to 2007 possibly only months prior to them finding me.

Victory another great word! I guess it’s not one we’ll be using. At least not yet. I’m far from being victorious. Maybe you can help. Do you know me? I was somewhere between 5’3 and 5’9 and possibly 125 to 150 lbs (but that’s a huge guess). I had straight brown long to medium length hair. They say I was 15 to 22 years old. Pretty young! Also they guess that I’m White, but can’t rule out the fact that I might be Asian or Hispanic. They just want to throw you off! Ok so the best details available my teeth. That’s right my teeth - 1, 16, 17, 32 are unerupted/impacted. Can you believe that it all boils down to my teeth. I might be White. I might be 15. I might have weighed 125. I might have been 5’3. But when it comes to those impacted teeth there is no doubt. So if the other details seem remotely familiar like maybe it could be someone you love that is missing run fast to the DDS and get the records! Let’s find out if I’m your loved one.

What kind of music do you think I liked?
